Salon des Mandataires 2016

Salon des Mandataires 2016

A small part of our UK crew, Daryl Ellison (Regional Manager) and Clément Dabadie (Technical Representative) are in Belgium, exhibiting at Salon des Mandataires 2016. The fair is taking place at the beautiful WEX venue, located in the town of Marche-en-Famenne of Wallonia.

Salon des Mandataires 2016 – Day 1

At its 11th edition, this conference always attracts numerous exhibitors and attendees from all over Europe. For this reason, special measures were taken to avoid traffic congestion, and the great turnout on the first day just confirms those measures were necessary.
Although MetroCount is exhibiting here for the first time, out stand has been very busy. Most visitors were interested in knowing more about our unique approach – “store every axle”, as well as the possibility to analyse and visualise each vehicle passing over the tubes of our Portable Traffic Counter.
While waiting for updates from the 2nd day, have a look at photos from day 1 or, if you’re around, come see us at stand 1B17!

Salon des Mandataires 2016 – Day 2

The final day of the show was as busy as the first one. In total, over 13 000 people have visited the WEX exhibition, and over 355 companies have fought for their attention. There have also been lectures and discussions on topics such as local investment plans or sustainable cities. We couldn’t attend these lectures as, (un)fortunately, our stand has been a big attraction for engineers, traffic managers, and curious alike.

Overall, we had a great time at Salon des Mandataires, and we loved Belgium. We’re looking forward to being back there, to learn more about “the worst traffic in Europe“, and then to help improving it.
