World leaders in traffic monitoring, MetroCount visited Jakarta last week to attend Intertraffic Expo. They shared tips on how to best implement automatic traffic surveys in Indonesia.
The Expo was opened with much excitement by Indonesian President Joko Widodo. It’s fantastic to see Indonesia making big steps to improve roads and transport infrastructure nation-wide.
MetroCount brought to the expo 30 years experience implementing traffic surveys with automatic traffic counters (ATCs) around the world. Attendees appreciated the knowledge and tips Mike and Maurice had to share.

From the data collected, MetroCount’s powerful analytic software classifies every vehicle (from motorcycle to heavy vehicles) and runs reports to gain insight into:
- 85th percentile speeds;
- average daily traffic volume;
- individual vehicle data;
- daily classes by direction;
- peak hour traffic;
- virtual week vehicle counts;
- and much more.
